Include your web address in all your other advertising. Put it on the sign outside your business, add it to your yellow pages listing and be sure to include it in any printed materials you have, your brochure, business cards and any newspaper ads or direct mailings you might have. Put it on the screen if you have television advertising and include it in your radio ads. The other media can bring people to your "virtual" business and then we bring them the rest of the way. 

Include material here that might be too expensive to include elsewhere. One prime example is for a service business such as roofing or siding. Include photos of your work in progress to demonstrate the quality of the work.  Include before and after shots of previous jobs as well as customer references and testimonials.

Add an interactive map to your site to make your business easy to find. Linked to an online map service the visitor can zoom in or out to see exactly how to get there.

Feature full color photographs of your sales items with the kind of quality available only in print advertising by using expensive glossy paper.

Use your site to highlight those features of your business that you want them to know. Brag a little, let others brag for you. Include testimonial from former clients. This is your time to shine. 

Offer special discounts or printable coupons to your web customers. It might be what gets them through your doorway that very first time.
